Pay for development once, and maintain this sophisticated banner with modifications only to a text file. Expandable to any number of transitions, this banner will be the first thing your customers notice about your site. Tell your story through a series of images and captions, keeping the banner fresh by easily updating the configuration.

The blog theme I am using isn’t very flexible, so please click to open in a new window and see this banner as it could look on one of your client’s sites.

The banner above can be configured by modifying a text file that configures the background image, the transition images, the transition titles and the transition text. A snippet of the configuration text follows:

<headerTransistions>
<transition>
<staticBgImg>images/background.png</staticBgImg>
<scrollFromLeftImg>images/cliffTree.png</scrollFromLeftImg>
<scrollFromRightImg>images/desert.png</scrollFromRightImg>
<headerTitle>Innovative</headerTitle>
<headerText><![CDATA[Bringing the best technologies to reach your audience, we help define your image in the digital world. Because even when you're off-line, your reputation is still on the line.]]></headerText>
</transition>
<transition>
<staticBgImg>images/background.png</staticBgImg>
<scrollFromLeftImg>images/forest.png</scrollFromLeftImg>
<scrollFromRightImg>images/glacier.png</scrollFromRightImg>
<headerTitle>Experienced</headerTitle>

It is pretty clear what pieces of the configuration file should be modified to change the banner to your liking. It doesn’t take someone that knows Flash to turn this banner into a completely new looking banner.
